| Synopsis - A film that works on many levels, about inspiration and crushed hopes, the powerlessness of youth, and the unrelenting opposing force of nature versus the proud will of the human spirit. A young boy witnesses the seashore fortress of Mont St Micheal and is inspired to build his own fortress on the shore. However, lacking the strength of men, his sandcastle falls easily to the uncaring might of the ocean, washing away his hopes and dreams and ending the film on an almost tragic note. But still, the message of respect for the forces out of our control, and the deep forethought needed for the foundations of dreams lingers long after the last of the sand has been washed into obscurity |
